My guide to referencing at QUT

Firstly this is more of a where is everything located dump than an assessment of QUT,
so please if you don't know what it is then don't comment ;-)

Ok:

Endnote
This is one of the most useful things I've found out in referencing things at QUT.

www.myendnoteweb.com/

Register for free here and go to the library software area and download Endnote for PC or Mac.

Firefox has a great plugin that allows you to cite web pages, you can download it after you've registered under:
.
Format   >   Cite While You Write™ Plug-In

Still haven't found a Chrome plugin that does the same :-/

But, I did find on the Download Installers page there is a Capture: Capture Reference button you need to drag to your bookmarks bar.

You can use this as well:

Capture Reference

Download a LibX plugin here for chrome:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/empty-title/ffkfoaiikoedjcjlpnnaidojhfchiafk

And add QUT as your search partner. It enables searching the QUT database rather than going to the library to view it.

Proxy

And add this or search for QUT in the settings by right clicking on the book:

http://ezp01.library.qut.edu.au/login?url=$@

This will enable you to use QUT services to view website like external databases, articles and such.

If you're in a rush to get your references:

This is a quick and dirty way to get references into your assignments.

I'll add more when I find more to add.
