Is the Earth a stellar nursery for sentient life?

I was thinking about stars, how they are born in a gaseous cloud, forming thought gravity and pressure igniting in a nuclear reaction, igniting in a way to produce a future star as it travels though the cosmos.

But then I got to thinking, this process takes millions of years if not billions for some. What if the earth was the same thing? A nursery not for stars but for life itself. But how could this be? What evidence is there that this is the case.

Perhaps when we look into the night sky, we see systems and planets that make earthlike planets a rare opportunity. That these are things of value for the stage of life where it's working it's way from the primordial soup. Amino acids and nutrients forming complex structures. From this we get life of the planet. For millions of years this process happens, we fast forward to seeing dinosaurs.

In this period we see modern animals, we see intelegence using the planet. But what if they evolved further in aspects of being civilizations? That they evolve space flight. That they evolve past the idea of possession of a planet and look towards the stars as citizens of the galaxy.

So they restore the planet, remove any buildings and sense of civilization. They restore it to a degree that any future occupants of earth would think they where the dominant species.

So what is the meaning of earth? Could it be possible that it's a sentient nursery? Could we as occupants evolve so much that we leave earth and the idea of possessions? That our future is not of the ground but the sky above?
